เรื่องราวของภาพยนตร์ “Warchief”โจมตีหมู่บ้านโดยกลุ่มออร์ค แต่เราไม่เห็นฝูงออร์ค มีเพียงกลุ่มที่เราเห็นในเงามืดถือดาบยักษ์ก่อนที่กล้องจะตัดไปที่ภาพระยะไกลของหมู่บ้านที่ลุกเป็นไฟ แม้จะไม่ใช่มหากาพย์ แต่ก็ไม่ได้แย่เกินไปสำหรับสิ่งที่เป็นอยู่เช่นกัน

การสร้างภาพยนตร์ย้อนยุคทุกประเภทด้วยงบประมาณที่ต่ำกำลังก่อให้เกิดปัญหา การจัดหาเครื่องแต่งกายและอุปกรณ์ประกอบฉากให้ถูกต้องนั้นไม่ใช่เรื่องถูกหรือง่าย The Siege of Robin Hood เป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีว่าภาพยนตร์เหล่านั้นออกมาได้แย่ขนาดไหน มือเขียนบท/ผู้กำกับ สจวร์ต เบรนแนนได้สร้างภาพยนตร์สองเรื่อง ได้แก่ The Necromancer ซึ่งมีเรื่องราวต่อต้านสงครามนโปเลียน และ KIngslayer ซึ่งเกิดขึ้นระหว่างสงครามครูเสด

movie story “Warchief” attacked the village by a group of Orcs. But we didn’t see a herd of orcs. We only see the group in the shadows holding giant swords before the camera cuts to a distant shot of the village in flames. Even though it’s not epic. But it’s not too bad for what it is either.

Making any type of period film on a low budget is causing problems. Getting the costumes and props right isn’t cheap or easy. The Siege of Robin Hood is a great example of how bad those movies can be. Writer/director Stuart Brennan has made two films: The Necromancer, which is set against the Napoleonic Wars, and KIngslayer, which takes place during the Crusades.
